We offer our customers to open a multi-currency current account with the possibility of convenient remote management 24/7, which allows using the full range of banking services, as well as to open escrow accounts to minimise risks in transactions with movable or immovable property.
An escrow account is a service that minimises risks in transactions on the purchase and sale of immovable or movable property, wherein the bank guarantees the counterparties the safekeeping of funds transferred to the escrow account and their pay-out according to the signed escrow account agreement.
The service is available to existing customers. At least one of the counterparties must have a current account opened.

The buyer, the seller and the bank enter into a tripartite agreement that includes transaction terms and conditions, documents required for its performance, and their submission deadlines.
Upon entering into an escrow account agreement, the parties must produce their personal identification documents and a power of attorney, if necessary.
The buyer transfers the transaction amount to the escrow account.
The seller prepares the required documents within the terms set out in the agreement and submits them to the bank.
None of the counterparties can access the funds until all the required documents have been prepared and submitted to the bank.
The Bank checks the submitted documents and, having confirmed their compliance with the terms and conditions of the agreement, pays out the funds to the seller.
The Basic Account is a single-currency current account in EUR (euro). The Basic Account provides principal payment functions. Applying for the Basic Account is available solely to individuals, residents of the European Union*, who have the right to reside in Latvia in accordance with the normative acts of the Republic of Latvia, as well as to persons, whom no resident permit was issued, but the deportation of these persons from Latvia is impossible in accordance with the normative acts of the Republic of Latvia; provided that they have no payment account, which ensures the range of basic account services, at a different credit institution providing services in Latvia.

To open the Basic Account, it is necessary to visit the Bank, taking a personal identification document with you. The decision on the opening of the Basic Account is adopted within 10 business days following the receipt of all documents necessary for opening the Basic Account. Commission fees are charged for all services related to the Basic Account in accordance with the Price List for Individuals, Residents of the Republic of Latvia.
Opening or use of the Basic Account may be declined or terminated in cases stipulated in the Law on Payment Services and Electronic Money.
* European Union residents are the citizens and non-citizens of Latvia, or citizens of another European Union Member State, the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation, as well as persons, who have the right to reside in Latvia and whom no resident permit was issued, but the deportation of these persons from Latvia is impossible in accordance with the normative acts of the Republic of Latvia.
** Purchasing additional services is not mandatory to access the Basic Account.
The Temporary Account is an account required for newly founded companies for paying the share capital prior to registration with the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia.
Documents required for the opening of the Temporary Account:

The Bank accepts documents in Latvian, Russian and English. If a document is submitted to the Bank in another language, it must be translated into one of the above languages. The translation of these documents must be certified by a notary or sworn translator and additionally, at the request of the Bank, legalised with an Apostille or by the consular representation.
The payment account change service is available to private individuals, who are consumers.*
AS “Reģionālā investīciju banka” provides the payment account change service to private individuals, who are consumers*, if they wish to transfer all their payment relations or a certain share thereof in euro from another payment service provider registered in Latvia to the bank.
The payment account change service is an action when, at the request of the customer, one payment service provider either provides the other one with information about all or certain regular payment orders with regard to the performance of credit transfers, periodic direct debiting payments and periodic incoming credit transfers performed in the payment account, or transfers any positive balance of the payment account from one payment account to another, or fulfils both actions, either closing or not closing the previous payment account.
AS “Reģionālā investīciju banka” as the accepting service provider will independently coordinate the entire account change process with the transferring payment service provider – from transferring the account balance to closing the previous payment account. Customers need to visit the bank, bringing a personal identification document with them, to complete and sign an account change request.
A separate account change request must be submitted for every payment account, which the customer has opened at the transferring payment service provider and the payment services connected to which the customer wishes to hand over to the bank.
*In accordance with the Consumer Rights Protection Law, a consumer is a natural person who expresses a wish to purchase, purchases, or might purchase or use goods, a service, digital content, or a digital service for the purpose not related to his or her economic or professional activity.
