AS “Reģionālā investīciju banka” suspends execution of outgoing and incoming payments to and from Russia and Belarus.

In the light of increasingly stricter sanctions introduced against the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, as well as some of its citizens and companies, AS “Reģionālā investīciju banka” (hereinafter – the ‘Bank’) is suspending the execution of outgoing and incoming payments to and from Russia and Belarus starting from August 2, 2022.
As an exception, after examining each particular situation individually, the Bank might execute individual, made for human purposes or critically necessary payments, as well as pension payments, salaries, etc.
Likewise, please be informed that enhanced due diligence will be further performed for payments made to and from Russia’s neighbouring countries and jurisdictions that have not introduced any sanctions against Russia (e.g., Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Turkey, African countries, Kyrgyzstan, etc.). Hence, payments made to and from the said countries will be subject to an additional commission fee for enhanced due diligence in accordance with the Bank’s Price List.
In cooperating with the Bank, the Bank encourages its Customers to individually control and prevent the occurrence of sanction risks, paying special attention to the transactions involving persons from regions and jurisdictions subject to sanctions, and check themselves that the transactions performed by these partners will not contradict sanction laws.
